Dana White's latest endeavor, the Power Slap League, has been under fire since it made its television debut on TBS on January 18, 2023. White reassured fans that the commission is trying to improve safety measures after an outcry about the sport's brutality.

Despite the fact that the Power Slap League is sweeping the United States and will be making its pay-per-view debut in March 2023, neurologists have spoken out strongly against the sport, warning that slaps to the face can cause lasting brain damage. It has also come to light that Power Slap League athletes are paid very little despite the rigorous nature of the sport.

Former UFC middleweight contender Eric Spicely allegedly spilled the beans on the wages for fighters in the league. For his debut in the slap-fighting league, he was reportedly offered $2,000 to show and a $2,000 victory bonus.

A concerned fan asked UFC President Dana White about the competitor's pay structure after initial reports indicated that it was inadequate. Fight fans were quick to criticize White's unconvincing justification for the pay structure by saying:

"[This is] how MMA started too. Boxing undercards make this kind of money still. Educate yourself before you open the YAP."

Dana White goes on a spree defending the Power Slap League

Dana White's latest venture, the Power Slap League, is not for everyone. The arduous nature of the sport based on brute strength has worried fight fans, who have continued to criticize the UFC president for venturing into the viral format.

White claimed that Power Slap has more social media views than the UFC, WWE, and even the NFL, despite accusations that the format has flopped on viewership ratings. According to White, each TikTok video promoting the slap-fighting show has had over 10 million views.

White has been relentlessly and unrepentantly defending the league, and he recently went on a rampage, engaging with fans who had lambasted the UFC president in the comments section of one of his Instagram posts. In response to a supporter's criticism that the UFC shouldn't be associated with slap fighting, White said:

"Then don't watch it. This post is for people who do. U know what i do with sh*t i don't like? I don't pay attention to it, don't post about it. STFU [shut the f**k up] and pay attention to shit i do like."

When another fan wrote that fans were not interested in the league, White responded:

"Interested enough for you to waste time on a Sunday to post about it."
