UFC has signed a new deal with Anheuser-Busch, the company that manufactures Bud Light. Under the new partnership, the top fight promotion has dropped Modelo and brought back Bud Light to be the company's official beer partner.
The deal is being said to be quite lucrative. Yahoo! Sports has reported that, according to sources, the new partnership between Anheuser-Busch and UFC is worth upwards of $100 million. The partnership will be a six-year deal which is expected to commence from January, 2024.
The history of UFC and Anheuser-Busch goes way back to 2008, when the two companies first started working together. UFC continued to renew its contract with the beer brand for several years, but things changed in 2019 when UFC ended the deal and brought in Modelo as the new beer sponsor.

The beer brand was recently involved in controversy when it struck a sponsorship deal with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. Due to the partnership, the company received a lot of backlash and faced monetary loss from conservatives in the United States, who promised to boycott the drink.
The new deal with the UFC might help the beer brand recover from the controversy and improve its image in the public eye.
What did Dana White say about the new Bud Light deal?
UFC CEO Dana White appears to be happy about the new deal struck with Bud Light for the brand to be their official beer partner. In a statement released by the UFC, White spoke about the multi-million-dollar deal.
The UFC CEO discussed the history and relationship between the two parties and also shared reasons for choosing Anheuser-Busch again to be their business partner.
According to White, it's the similarity between the two companies 'core values' that helped in making the deal a reality:
"Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light were UFC's original beer sponsors more than 15 years ago. I'm proud to announce we are back in business together. There are many reasons why I chose to go with Anheuser-Busch... Most importantly is because I feel we are very aligned when it comes to our core values and what the UFC brand stands for. I'm looking forward to all of the incredible things we will do in the years ahead."
