Paddy Pimblett is set to fight on December 11 on the UFC 282 card. The event will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be headlined by the rematch between Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixeira. 'The Baddy' will be fighting Jared Gordon in a lightweight matchup. In a recent video uploaded on Youtube, he revealed how he plans to lose 50 pounds ahead of his fight:
"There's no rocket science to it, it's not hard. Get yourself in a calorie deficit. Why'd you think I go so fat? Because I go from eating fifteen hundred-two thousand calories a day to eating like eight thousand calories a day. That's why the weight piles on lad and that's why it comes off so easy."
Paddy Pimblett is known for his extreme weight gain when he is not fighting. The Scouser is almost unrecognizable when he gains weight, except for his trademark hairstyle. 'The Baddy' revealed that he once cut 8.16 kgs (18 lbs) overnight to make weight. He also revealed in the video that his chef makes it a lot easier for him to track his calories and lose weight before a fight.

Dana White gives his thoughts on Paddy Pimblett gaining and cutting weight drastically
UFC President Dana White spoke about Paddy Pimblett gaining weight drastically in between fights and then cutting it to make weight when he's in camp. Usually, after a fight, 'The Baddy' changes his diet completely and eats a lot of junk food, consuming over 5,000 calories a day and gaining a lot of weight in the process. Here's what the UFC boss had to say about it:
"We all know that fluctuating and cutting that much weight is very bad and it definitely does not prolong your career. It's tough on your body and your organs and stuff like that. But listen he's a grown man he can do whatever he wants to do...It hurts us too we have to be very specific when he plan fights for him because he's nowhere near close to weight."
It is very hard for Paddy Pimblett to take in fights at short notice since he is never near his fighting weight. The UFC boss also said that he would not force Pimblett or try to convince him to change his lifestyle.
