At ONE on Prime Video 5, Murad Ramazanov will take on Roberto Soldic. In his opponent's highly anticipated debut, Ramazanov has the opportunity to steal Soldic’s thunder in front of everyone tuning in to see the Croatian fight in ONE Championship for the first time.

Murad Ramazanov is no stranger to competing inside the circle. The Dagestani wrestling machine has gone undefeated in his professional career and has picked up three consecutive wins in ONE Championship.

A win over a name like Roberto Soldic, who brings so much hype with him, would solidify Ramazanov’s place as the number one contender at welterweight.

The Russian has been able to draw from his past experiences to get to this point in his career. In an interview with ONE Championship, he spoke about being forced to adapt to looking out for himself after moving to Moscow at the age of 13 when he was scouted by coaches:

“I was in shock because until then, I had my mother making a bed for me, everything was handed to me on a plate. But it was a great school of life, I adapted quickly. It was clear that once I had made that choice, there was no way I could go back and complain.”

The experience will have been invaluable for Murad Ramazanov in life and in his career. At ONE on Prime Video 5 on December 2, he will need to rely on himself once again if he is to defeat Roberto Soldic.

ONE on Prime Video 5: De Ridder vs. Malykhin broadcasts live on Friday, December 2, and is free for fans in the United States and Canada with an Amazon Prime subscription.

“I wasn’t a very good student” - Murad Ramazanov thankful that sports gave him purpose

Unbeaten Dagestani phenom Murad Ramazanov has the task of welcoming former KSW two-division champion Roberto Soldic to the circle at ONE on Prime Video 5. As the rising contender looks ahead to the biggest fight of his career, he is grateful for the life that sport has given him.

The 27-year-old welterweight has gone 3-0 in ONE Championship since debuting in 2020. WIth wins over Bae Myung Ho, Hiroyuki Tetsuka and Zebaztian Kadestam, he now likely finds himself one win away from a shot at the world championship.

Ramazanov recently spoke with the promotion about the impact that sports has had on his life, stating:

"I wasn’t a very good student because when I got bored, I couldn’t sit still, be diligent, and learn. When bored, I couldn't make an effort. It's good that I found my place early enough in sports. I did a bit of boxing at the age of 10 or 11, then a year of soccer, at 12, I started Greco-Roman wrestling."

Murad Ramazanov continued:

"Freestyle wrestling is our region's number one sport, many Olympic champions come from the region. But at that time, I didn't want to do it because of the way old-school coaches were with their students: they could beat them with a rope, be very rude, shout, pull their ears. I was not used to this kind of treatment. My father raised me only by example and conviction, he always treated himself and others with respect."
