“I also want to focus on the MMA belt” - John Lineker still eyes MMA world title rematch despite unprecedented success in Muay Thai

Dynamite-fisted Brazilian brawler and former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion 'Hands of Stone' John Lineker has experienced unexpected success in Muay Thai as he has quickly shocked the world with his knockout power in 'the art of eight limbs'.

But despite Lineker's successful adaptation to Muay Thai, 'Hands of Stone' says he is still fully committed to making another run at the bantamweight MMA gold currently held by countryman Fabricio Andrade.

Lineker told ONE Championship in a recent interview:

"I also want to focus on the MMA belt. Fabrício Andrade will put his title on the line and will defend it against Kwon Won [Il]. So, that’s all I hope for in 2025."

Andrade defends his belt against Kwon Won Il at ONE 170 in Bangkok on January 24.

Lineker is up before that, however, as he takes on his toughest Muay Thai test yet in the world's largest martial arts organization.

The two lock horns at ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev on Prime Video, which broadcasts live in U.S. primetime from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, January 10.
