Former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Petchtanong Petchfergus of Thailand knew he wanted to stay active in his return to the world's largest martial arts organization.
So the 39-year-old Thai veteran stayed busy after his second-round technical knockout victory over Alaverdi Ramazanov last June. And now, he's getting ready to return against 6-foot phenom Nabil Anane in another important matchup this weekend.
Speaking to the Bangkok Post in a recent interview, Petchtanong talked about keeping himself sharp for this fight.

The Superbon Training Camp product said:
"I've been training since I won the last fight. I was also training in boxing in the US and Canada, and continued to train when I came back to Thailand. Once ONE offered me the fight, I knew I had always been ready."
Petchtanong spent nearly two years on the sidelines after taking the belt from Hiroki Akimoto in November 2022. He was stripped of his gold after banned substances were detected in his system.
The Thai veteran returned to action earlier this year and is now looking to close out 2024 on a high note by defeating a surging young star.
It all comes to a head this weekend at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video.
