Second-ranked ONE Championship flyweight MMA contender 'Little Piranha' Yuya Wakamatsu of Japan is feeling a lot of gratitude following his recent victory over Gilbert Nakatani at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video.
The 29-year-old Tribe Tokyo MMA product turned in a dominant performance against his Japanese-American counterpart, taking home a three-round unanimous decision to stake his claim in the stacked flyweight MMA division.
After the fight, Wakamatsu went on to thank his fans for their support. He told the media at the official ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video post-fight interviews:

"So it's because of everyone who has been cheering for me that made me who I am today. And by fighting, by doing martial arts, I got to travel around the world. All I have to say is, I appreciate it. Thank you very much. And from now on, I'll keep on fighting. I'll show my existence to what I do. And even from now on, please do keep cheering for me. Thank you."
With the win, Wakamatsu positions himself closer and closer to a world title shot.

Yuya Wakamatsu wants world title shot in Japan: "That would be tremendous"
'Little Piranha' Yuya Wakamatsu is confident he will be next in line to compete for the vacant ONE flyweight MMA world title left behind by the retired Demetrious Johnson.
He told ONE Championship following his victory over Gilbert Nakatani at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video:
"I know that I'm going to be the one to take that championship and I want the next title match to be held in Japan. Oh that would be tremendous."
