Jon Jones candidly discussed his financial situation in a recent interview. Although he has had several standoffs with the UFC concering his pay, the 37-year-old has been experiencing a healthy cash inflow lately.
While driving YouTuber Alex Gonzalez's $5 million Buggati during the interview, Jones mentioned that UFC boss Dana White assured him long ago that he would not have to worry about his financial security. He then elaborated on his financial circumstances, making some astonishing revelations about his current earnings:
"It's just falling in my hands these days, and I'm grateful for it. I'm making really good money, doing really, really silly things, you know - Show up to a party for half an hour for a hundred thousand dollars, sign a few items for a hundred thousand dollars. I barely leave my house for less than a hundred thousand dollars these days. It just comes left and right, and I'm just grateful for it."
A video clip of Jones' interaction was posted by @RedCorner_MMA on X.

Jon Jones answers if money motivates him in life
Jon Jones is one of the highest-paid athletes in the UFC and a crucial asset to the company. In the aforementioned interview with Alex Gonzalez, Jones was asked if earning money is a motivating factor for him. Jones responded:
"I feel like I have enough money now to have a great life for the rest of my life and for my kids to have a great life. Maybe even my grandkids. So, money's a motivator. Most people lie when they say they weren't motivated by money. But I've also been doing the UFC work out of love too. I really love making money, I really love what I do. I really love writing my name in the history books and being the guy who will be able to live forever through UFC record books, and that means a lot!"

Jones is coming off a third-round TKO victory over Stipe Miocic in a legacy-defining UFC 309 fight to retain the heavyweight title. While a title unification fight against interim title holder Tom Aspinall seems like the logical next step, 'Bones' has declined to fight the Brit, citing various reasons. However, UFC CEO Dana White is confident that the 37-year-old will eventually agree to face Aspinall.
