Japanese kickboxing great Kana Morimoto hopes to leave a lasting impression on ONE Championship fans in her debut showing against Anissa Meksen at ONE Friday Fights 92 on Friday, Dec. 20. The event will take place inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Speaking with the promotion, Kana confidently declared that she could claim a knockout win over the French-Algerian legend if the opportunity presents itself, saying:
"I've prepared weapons that can drop her with either punches or kicks. If they land cleanly, I believe I can finish her. While there are things we won't know until fight day, I'm well prepared."

After thoroughly dominating the Japanese kickboxing scene, including winning the K-1 women's flyweight crown, Kana signed with ONE this past September.
Having 'C18' as her first opponent in the world's largest martial arts promotion will be an interesting challenge for her because of Meksen's high-pressure offense.
Additionally, Meksen will have extra motivation for the fight after falling short of winning the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world championship to Jackie Buntan at ONE 169 in November.
Kana sought help from Superbon Training Camp
Kana recognized she would need to tap as many resources as possible to emerge victorious over Anissa Meksen. In that regard, the 32-year-old reached out to Superbon Training Camp — the gym headed by ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon.
The Team Aftermath affiliate had this to say about her training sessions with the famed Bangkok-based gym:
"The Thai trainers are really specialized in ONE and are familiar with watching ONE fights and understanding their rule criteria, so that adds another positive element."
