"I don't believe he's much of a problem" - Freddie says brother Jonathan Haggerty will put Nico Carrillo back in his place

Freddie Haggerty expects his brother, two-sport king Jonathan Haggerty, will have to cross paths with Nico Carrillo someday.

But while he thinks the Scotsman deserves his chance at his elder sibling's bantamweight Muay Thai gold, the young Brit doesn't make much of 'King of the North's' chances when he does meet his elder sibling down the line.

The Knowesly Academy and Team Underground fighter had this to say to the South China Morning Post (SCMP) recently on why he envisions Carrillo struggling at the hands of 'The General':

"He's done well in ONE. You can't doubt what he's done. He's beat who he's beat. He's got where he's got."

"But I personally don't believe he's much of a problem for Jon if I'm completely honest with you."

Carrillo placed himself into the world title picture off four back-to-back knockouts against Furkan Karabag, Muangthai PK Saenchai, Saemapetch Fairtex, and former kingpin Nong-O Hama.

Currently, at No.1 in the rankings, the Deachkalek Muay Thai Academy star will likely get the opportunity he's waiting for once Jonathan Haggerty clears his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title defense against Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6.

In the same interview with SCMP, the 19-year-old English striker gave his take on how his brother Jonathan Haggerty will overcome arguably the toughest test of his career in Superlek, who moves up a division in a bid to complete his two-sport dream in the promotion.

Freddie shared:

"I think Superlek is going to make a mistake with the weight...That's going to affect his gas tank. I know how it's going to go. I think Jon's going to wear him out and finish him."
