ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States is looking for a statement-making victory over fourth-ranked flyweight MMA contender 'Lightning' Reece McLaren this weekend.
Then he's coming for all of the division's top fighters.
Brooks made the decision to move up to flyweight, and now he's taking on one of the most dangerous opponents he can face in the Australian.
Speaking to the Bangkok Post in a recent interview, Brooks says he wants all the smoke, expressing his desire to test himself against the best the division has to offer.

'The Monkey God' said:
"They wanted to give me people outside of the top five, and I was just like, ‘No bro, I want to go against somebody that has the prowess of Reece McLaren or the prowess of Adriano Moraes, Yuya Wakamatsu or anybody in the top five, because I'm here to test myself.’ And God puts me in places and I call my own shots. And Reece he is looking over me man, and I think that this is a perfect opportunity to jump a hurdle like you said."
Needless to say, Brooks is raring to go and to prove that his bite is greater than his bark.
