Fabricio Andrade took a moment to pause and reflect on his breathtaking comeback fight at ONE 170 last weekend.
The undisputed ONE bantamweight MMA world champion was filled with emotion shortly after dispatching challenger Kwon Won Il in highlight reel fashion in less than a minute.
Aside from successfully defending his 26 pounds inside the packed Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, 'Wonder Boy' also took home a well-earned $50,000 bonus for his amazing handiwork.

While the performance incentive was simply icing on the cake for Andrade, he can't help but marvel at how far he has come in his post-fight interview with Mitch Chilson:
"I don’t know yet [what to do with the money]. I just want to thank you so much, Chatri and ONE Championship. Man, I came from nothing. I really came from nothing. Anybody who knows my history knows my background, knows that I come from nothing."
'Wonder Boy', who worked tooth and nail to escape poverty in the favelas of Brazil, continued:
"I wished to come here and go through everything and ONE Championship gave me the opportunity back in 2020 and now I’m a world champion and I’m rich! Thank you so much, ONE Championship and Chatri!"

Fabricio Andrade says he's only going to get better after inspiring title defense at ONE 170
Fabricio Andrade already knocked out 'Pretty Boy' in an eerily similar manner in their first meeting back in 2022.
Needless to say, the 27-year-old topped that performance when he bodied Kwon with another gut-wrenching liver blow, which ended even faster than the first one.
Fabricio Andrade, however, is not the type to rest on his laurels. The Evolve MMA and Tiger Muay Thai affiliate vows to keep on working, especially after missing the entire 2024 due to injuries. He added:
"I would choose to stay active in MMA. I think I still have a lot of room for improvement. I think I am not in my best yet. I want to defend my belt at least three times more this year and whoever ONE Championship want me to fight, I will fight."
