Returning to winning ways is the key motivation for Jarred Brooks ahead of ONE Fight Night 24.

This year has not gone to plan for him thus far under the ONE Championship banner, but now he has the opportunity to start getting things back on track.

A disqualification loss at ONE 166 earlier this year saw Brooks lose the ONE strawweight MMA world championship that he had worked so hard to get. Now, his sole focus is getting his hand raised in the main event on August 2 no matter what it takes.

A win at Lumpinee Stadium will see him leave with the interim title following a tough test against Gustavo Balart.

In a recent interview with FightWave, Brooks spoke about how his mentality has changed after what took place earlier this year in Qatar.

He now has no time for thinking about anything else other than being the best version of himself that he can possibly be come fight night:

"I care about just going out and having a great performance, and proving to myself that I can get better in every fight, and if the fans start to accumulate because of that, then that's what it is."

Jarred Brooks is ready to put it in the past

It can't have been easy for Jarred Brooks to return to the gym and rebuild his motivation after the events of ONE 166.

Let alone his training camp, the former champion had put so much work in to become the world champion only for it to be lost in an instant.

However, having climbed to the top of the mountain once before, he will be confident of doing it again if like he said, he can continue to improve with every performance.

Brooks won't let Gustavo Balart stand in his way but his opponent will be just as hungry to get his hands on the interim title.

ONE Fight Night 24 will air live in US primetime, free of charge for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
