Former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Petchtanong Petchfergus of Thailand isn't at all worried about what is to come when he steps back inside the ONE Championship ring against a young phenom.
Petchtanong is getting ready to trade leather with 6-foot Algerian-Thai phenom Nabil Anane in a three-round bantamweight kickboxing bout, and the 39-year-old veteran tells his fans that there's nothing to worry about.
Speaking to the Bangkok Post in a recent interview, Petchtanong says he expects his vast experience and technical advantage to carry him to victory over Anane.

"I've already had around 100 fights under kickboxing rules, and if I fight in these rules, I've got a pretty big advantage. I’ve collected 30 years of experience. I can handle anything."

Petchtanong Petchfergus isn't worried about Nabil Anane's height advantage: "I have nothing to fear"
Most of Nabil Anane's opponents struggle to deal with his overwhelming height and reach advantage. Even Anane himself says that alone gives him a very good chance of beating any opponent.
But Petchtanong Petchfergus says it won't matter in their fight.
He told ONE Championship:
"When they offered me to fight against Nabil, I wasn't surprised. Because I see him as a typical fighter. There's nothing special about him except his height. If our weights are the same, I have nothing to fear."
