Fabricio Andrade's striking has been the backbone of his successful run in the stacked bantamweight MMA division of ONE Championship. He, however, plans to switch things up a little bit in his comeback fight on Jan. 24.
That evening, inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, the ONE bantamweight MMA world champion puts his prized possession on the line against No.3-ranked contender 'Pretty Boy' Kwon Won Il in a rematch that has been more than two years in the making.
In their first encounter, the 27-year-old left the South Korean wincing in pain inside just 62 seconds off a vicious liver kick.

As much as he'd like to register another quick win over his nemesis, the striking specialist is keen to display what he's been working on throughout his spell on the sidelines in 2024.
Sportskeeda MMA caught up with Fabricio Andrade ahead of his return at ONE 170, and the Brazilian had this to say on what he wants to achieve from this fight:
"I think I've improved a lot [over the past year]. Not only in my striking but grappling, and ways how I can mix up my style. I'm very sure that I'm going to get to show this improvement in this rematch."
Andrade and Kwon Won Il's sequel will be one of three world title contests on the spectacle.
In the headline attraction, Tawanchai PK Saenchai defends his ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion against Superbon for the second time. Meanwhile, Nico Carrillo and Nabil Anane lock horns for the ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world championship.
Fabricio Andrade "thrilled" to return to action
There's nothing that Fabricio Andrade enjoys more than a chance to dazzle inside the Circle and leave a lasting impression.
Though he's had to wait longer than expected for this chance, 'Wonder Boy' is only looking at the positives with his injury nightmares now in the rear-view mirror.
In the aforementioned interview, he went on to add:
"To be very honest, I'm excited to step back inside the Circle again. It's been quite a while since I fought, and I'm really thrilled to be back in the Circle - doesn't matter who the opponent is - but I'm happy to be up and running."
ONE 170 will be available to fight fans at watch.onefc.com. The promotion's first numbered event of 2025 goes down inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, on Jan. 24.
