ONE lightweight world champion Christian Lee is out to conquer a new weight class at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18. Fresh off reclaiming the lightweight throne at ONE 160, ‘The Warrior’ will move up to welterweight to challenge its reigning king, Kiamrian ‘Brazen’ Abbasov.
It’s a tough task to conquer a new weight class, not to mention keeping the throne if and when you do so. ONE’s welterweight division is filled to the brim with lethal assassins waiting for a crack at gold. One such assassin is the organization's newest high-profile acquisition, Roberto Soldic.
In an interview with The MMA Super-Fan, Lee was asked what he thought of the Croatian MMA sensation. ‘The Warrior’ made a quick assessment of a possible clash with Soldic in the future, if all goes to plan:

“I think that if everything goes according to plan, and I’m able to claim the welterweight title, I think that I can see the two of us squaring off in the circle. He’s a very dangerous opponent, and I think it will make a quite exciting fight for the fans, definitely going to end in a finish.”
Soldic might be the most high-profile and accomplished MMA star to hail from Croatia since the great Mirko Cro Cop. Soldic is a multi-time MMA champion across various promotions in Europe, namely Superior FC, KSW and FFC. The Croatian superstar held titles at welterweight and light heavyweight.
We are still yet to see Soldic test the waters in ONE Championship, but that changes soon as he is set to face undefeated welterweight star Murad Ramazanov at ONE on Prime Video 5 in December.
From what we’ve seen from Soldic outside the promotion, we’re sure a fight with Christian Lee would produce fireworks from start to finish. Both are always hunting for a finish and the contest would definitely not see the judges’ scorecards.
