"I can shut him down" - Freddie Haggerty confident of victory against dangerous Jordan Estupinan

British rising star Freddie Haggerty is ready to open the ONE 170 card with a bang on Jan. 24 inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, against promotional debutant Jordan Estupinan in their flyweight Muay Thai match.

Before Haggerty welcomes the Colombian striking star on the global stage, he had an interview with ONE Championship, where he explained his plan of nullifying the fighting style of Estupinan.

The 20-year-old athlete proclaimed:

"As long as I can shut him down, he's going to have no method of fighting. His fighting style is very much like his brother's'."

This will be the first time Freddie Haggerty competes on the big stage following an impressive 3-0 run in the weekly ONE Friday Fights showcase, where he finished all his opponents.

The younger brother of reigning ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty has defeated the likes of Dankalong Sor Dechapan, Kaichon Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang, and Kaoklai Chor Hapayak.

Freddie Haggerty narrates his journey from being a performing actor to becoming a world-class fighter

The Knowlesy Academy and Team Underground athlete recently revealed his path to becoming a professional fighter by narrating his journey in a recent Instagram post he published.

According to Freddie Haggerty, he was a former performer in the theatrical hotbed of the West End before he begged his parents to allow him to compete inside the ring.

Part of the caption he wrote read:

"From a young age, I have always been a performer. From the age of 7 to 8, performing in sold-out theaters in the West End and acting to begging my parents to just let me fight. To now performing in sold-out arenas on the other side of the world doing something completely different."
