Double ONE world champion Christian Lee said that he is ready for his long-awaited return to action so much so he was open to defend any of his titles the promotion asked him to.
The 26-year-old Canadian-American fighter is set to defend his lightweight MMA belt at ONE 169 in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A., on Nov. 8. He will take on Turkish juggernaut Alibeg Rasulov in a title clash marking his comeback after two years because of personal reasons.
Lee, who is also the welterweight king, talked to Cageside Press recently and shared his thoughts on his title defense in Atlanta, including how he arrived at facing Alibeg, saying:
"No [hesitation in taking this fight], I was ready for anybody. As soon as I made a decision to get back in there and to defend one of my belts, I just asked ONE Championship who's next? Lightweight or welterweight, I'd be good for any division. They said the next guy was Alibeg, so that was the fight."

Christian Lee was last in action in November 2022 before he took a self-imposed break to mourn the untimely passing of his younger sister and fellow ONE fighter, Victoria, in December that year. Before his break, 'The Warrior' was on a roll, winning back-to-back world title fights.
Meanwhile, out to give him a rude welcome back is undefeated fighter Alibeg, who made a winning ONE debut back in July with a decision win over former ONE lightweight champion Ok Rae Yoon of South Korea.
ONE 169: Atlanta will air live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription. Tickets for the event, meanwhile, are available for purchase via Ticketmaster.
Christian Lee excited to finally make ONE Championship return
Out for two years for personal reasons, double ONE world champion Christian Lee is excited and happy to finally make his return to ONE Championship, where he hopes to continue the immense success he has achieved in his professional fighting career.
'The Warrior' will mark his ONE comeback on Nov. 8 at ONE 169: Atlanta, defending his lightweight MMA world title in a marquee showdown against undefeated Turkish fighter Alibeg Rasulov.
In the same interview with Cageside Press, Christian Lee spoke about his much-awaited return to action, more so in the United States, which is a dream of him since picking up the sport of MMA, saying:
"I'm excited [to be competing in the U.S.]. My whole professional career, I've been fighting all over Asia, and I've lived here -- I've lived in Hawaii, so I've been growing up in the U.S., and I've been waiting for this day for a long time."
The Lee-Rasulov showdown is among the world title fights on offer at ONE 169: Atlanta, which will be played at the State Farm Arena, home of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks.
