Former Muay Thai world title contender Sinsamut Klinmee is eyeing another shot at lightweight king Regian Eersel and is looking to have it after his scheduled fight next month.

The 28-year-old Pattaya, Thailand-born faced off with 'The Immortal' twice for the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title. He lost on both occasions but not after severely testing the reigning champion.

Given how their previous encounters went, Sinsamut said he wants another title showdown with Eersel.

He told Sportskeeda MMA in an interview:

"Certainly. I'd love to have a chance for a trilogy and a title shot. Both have been my goal for a long time, and I'd do anything to achieve those."

But before he earns another date with the Surinamese champion, Sinsamut knows he needs to get past fellow former title contender Dmitry Menshikov of Russia in their scheduled joust at ONE Fight Night 22: Sundell vs Diachkova on May 3 in Bangkok, Thailand.

There he will try to rack up his third straight win and fortify further his claim for another world title shot.

ONE Fight Night 22: Sundell vs Diachkova will emanate from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and air live on U.S. primetime on May 3 free of charge for existing Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Lito Adiwang likes chances of Sinsamut in fight against Dmitry Menshikov

Filipino fighter Lito Adiwang likes the chances of Sinsamut Klinmee in his scheduled showdown with Russian Dmitry Menshikov at ONE Fight Night 22 on May 4 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The two former lightweight Muay Thai world title contenders will mix it up and try to extend their respective two-fight winning runs, with the end view of eventually earning consideration for another shot at the championship belt currently held by Regian Eersel.

Speaking to ONE Championship in an interview, Adiwang weighed in on the featured lightweight Muay Thai clash, giving the advantage to Sinsamut.

'Thunder Kid' said:

"Another guy I really followed is Sinsamut, and both athletes are very hungry. But I think Sinsamut is hungrier. I followed him also and when he lost, we saw his dedication to jump back to training to improve and get back."

The Thai slugger's latest victory came in November last year by unanimous decision over Moroccan Mouhcine Chafi.

Interestingly, Menshikov's last win was also over Chafi by knockout in the opening round of their duel back in December.
