As the divisional king for two weight brackets in separate disciplines, he knows he'd have to ramp up his output. Speaking on his plan to hold on to his two-sport world championship status, the 28-year-old told Yokkao recently:
"Now, I'm the bantamweight and flyweight champion in these two [disciplines]. I don't have anything in particular planned, but I need to train harder in both Muay Thai and kickboxing."
'The Kicking Machine's' victorious outing in Denver, Colorado, improved his winning streak to 11 in the promotion and proved why there is no doubt he's the top pound-for-pound striker in the world today.

Takeru game to bring an end to Superlek's victorious streak
Meanwhile, Takeru Segawa — who picked up a defeat to Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 165 this past January — is eager to flip the script if he gains a rematch with the two-sport world champion.
Speaking to the South China Morning Post before his victory over Thant Zin at ONE Friday Fights 81, 'The Natural Born Crusher' offered:
"I want to stop his winning streak."
Takeru was initially scheduled to face Rodtang Jitmuangnon inside the Ariake Arena early this year. However, Superlek replaced the injured ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion and dished out a striking clinic that left the Japanese icon in a world of pain.
