Denice Zamboanga is ready for Stamp Fairtex. Returning to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand at ONE Fight Night 27, 'The Menace' delivered another dominant showing on martial arts' biggest global stage, scoring a second-round knockout against Alyona Rassohyna to claim the interim ONE atomweight MMA world championship.

Aside from earning her first 26 pounds of ONE gold, the victory also guarantees Zamboanga a world title unification clash with the promotion's reigning and undisputed atomweight queen, Stamp.

Speaking with Mitch Chilson immediately following her big win in The Land of Smiles, Zamboanga believes that she has proven herself a worthy opponent for the three-sport superstar:

"I think I really deserve to fight for the championship against Stamp. I think I proved myself by finishing my opponent, so I think I deserve to fight her."

After her comments, Stamp, who was in attendance at ONE Fight Night 27, stepped inside the ring for a friendly face-off with Zamboanga.

Denice Zamboanga's road to ONE Championship gold hasn't been easy

It's been a long road to the top for Denice Zamboanga. After kickstarting her ONE Championship run with a trio of impressive victories against Jihin Radzuan, Mei Yamaguchi, and Watsapinya Kaewkhong, 'The Menace' ran into a roadblock named Ham Seo Hee.

Zamboanga lost back-to-back bouts against 'Hamzzang,' pushing her back down the rankings and forcing her to work her way back up. Undeterred, Zamboanga put her best foot forward and added three more wins to her resume against Lin Heqin, Julie Mezabarba, and Noelle Grandjean.

Now that she's bagged the biggest win of her MMA career thus far, Zamboanga is still struggling to wrap her head around the fact that she is a ONE world champion.

"I'm very speechless. Until now, I couldn't get over that I took the belt, that I'm the champion. It’s still sinking in my head right now."
