“I don’t believe his punches are the greatest” - Jonathan Haggerty’s younger brother Freddie says Superlek’s boxing won't be an issue

Freddie Haggerty doesn't see Superlek Kiatmoo9's punches being much of a threat to his older brother and reigning two-sport ONE world champion Jonathan Haggerty.

On Friday, Sept. 6, ONE Championship will head back to the United States for an absolutely stacked ONE 168: Denver card in The Mile High City.

In the main event of the evening, Haggerty will put his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship on the line against 'The Kicking Machine' in one of the most anticipated clashes in ONE history.

Offering his take on Superlek's stand-up game during a recent interview with the promotion, Freddie Haggerty suggested that 'The General' won't have to worry too much about the Thai superstar's fists.

“I don’t believe his punches are the greatest, so I think the main worry for Jon is to keep away from the elbows and the kicks,” the younger Haggerty told ONE.

Jonathan Haggerty looking for revenge after coming up short against Superlek in 2018

Currently reigning as the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion, Superlek will make the move up to bantamweight for a long-awaited clash with Jonathan Haggerty on martial arts' biggest global stage.

The pair previously met at a UK event in 2018 that saw 'The Kicking Machine' come out on top via a second-round doctor's stoppage TKO. Since then, Haggerty has been chomping at the bit to run it back with Superlek and even the series.

"Now's the time for revenge," Haggerty said in a interview with Sky Sports. "I'm glad it's come, we're both at our peak, and we're both in the best organization in the world."
