Iranian heavyweight MMA sensation Amir Aliakbari is fully fixated on his massive showdown with Brazilian jiu-jitsu icon Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida this weekend, that he's not even thinking about anything else.
The bout with 'Buchecha' has heavy world title implications, and the winner could produce the next challenger to the ONE heavyweight MMA throne.
Consequently, the main event of ONE 169 is between none other than triple champ 'Sladkiy' Anatoly Malykhin and top contender Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane, with the heavyweight gold on the line.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Aliakbari said he could care less about Malykhin and 'Reug Reug', but that he expects to be next in line for a shot at the belt if he beats 'Buchecha'.

The 36-year-old AAA Team representative said:
"After winning, I will definitely fight for the belt. I don't care [about the ONE 169 main event], but I think Malykhin will win."
With Aliakbari and 'Buchecha' both among the upper echelon of heavyweight MMA talent in the world's largest martial arts organization, the winner between these two would likely go on to face the winner of Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug'.
Fans won't have to wait long to see how this all plays out.
