Kamaru Usman recently defended Mike Tyson for his unfiltered answer to a kid reporter's question ahead of his fight against Jake Paul.
The Paul vs. Tyson encounter garnered a massive number of eyeballs despite several combat sports stars dissing 'The Problem Child's' decision to fight the 58-year-old.
However, many fans criticized Tyson's take on "legacy" during his interview with a 14-year-old reporter, Jazzy, ahead of the bout. They opined that he should have restricted his response.
Tyson said during the interview:

"Legacy is just another word that everyone grabbed on to... It means absolutely nothing to me. I'm just passing through it. I'm just gonna die, and it's gonna be over. Who cares about legacy after that?"

Usman expressed his support for Tyson's response in the latest episode of the Pound 4 Pound podcast. 'The Nigerian Nightmare' said:
"Usually everybody that interviews me [or other fighters like Tyson] are grown-ups. They know their questions. And it's Mike. When Mike is in the zone [in fight week], we know [how savage he can get]. I don't know she's [Jazzy] 12. She's asking questions like an adult... You see how intense Mike is at that moment... they shouldn't have put a 12-year-old in there to ask questions."
