Superlek Kiatmoo9 is as calculated as they come and always favors a more methodical approach each time he goes to battle. 'The Kicking Machine', however, knew he needed to fight fire with fire in order to unseat Jonathan Haggerty from the bantamweight Muay Thai throne.
The reigning flyweight kickboxing world champion certainly shocked the world when he needed less than a minute to end 'The General's reign in the main event of the historic ONE 168: Denver at Ball Arena last Friday.
There was no feeling out process whatsoever for the usually reserved Superlek, who eagerly pushed forward and responded to the Brit's aggression with more lethal counters.
Each shot the Thai megastar threw came with evil intent, including that fight-stopping elbow from hell that made him a two-division and two-sport world champion.

Speaking during the post-event press conference, Superlek said he intended to come out of the gates hot and was glad his game plan resulted in an early finish.
"This is something that I thought about during the fight. When I was in the fight, in the beginning, I thought that if I fight in this slow, methodical style, there's no way I could beat him. So I switched to a more aggressive, fast style, and I ended it quickly."

Superlek is ready to defend two divisions against all comers
After joining ONE's prestige group of double champions, Superlek can sit back and enjoy the spoils of his hard-earned victory.
However, 'The Kicking Machine' understands the job's not finished, especially now that has both the flyweight kickboxing and bantamweight Muay Thai ranks to look after.
The Kiatmoo9 Gym product told Mitch Chilson shortly after collecting his second golden belt:
"My next fight is up to Chatri [Sityodtong]. The flyweight division is mine. I'm ready to defend it. The bantamweight division [is] mine as well. I am ready to defend all of my territory."
