Johan Ghazali was looking to bounce back in a big way when he returned at ONE 168 for his third appearance on the main roster. The teenage striking sensation has shown that he has the ability to end fights in an instant during his time under the ONE banner.
However, after suffering his first defeat at ONE 167, Ghazali had some big questions to answer after he was unable to get the win against Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat.
Rebounding in style is exactly what he did at the Ball Arena in Denver, stopping Josue Cruz right as the first round came to an end. After his opponent hit the floor from the force of his left hand, Ghazali immediately started to celebrate by climbing onto the cage to bask in the moment.
In his post-fight interviews, he revealed that he wasn't sure whether the fight was going to end at that point but he didn't want to let the moment pass him by:

"Honestly, I didn't even know it was over. I just got on the cage. I just wanted to get the pictures, you know. I wasn't too sure that it was over. I knew there was a possibility that he could get up, but who cares? I'll just get on the cage."

Johan Ghazali picked his shots like a marksman
At the Impact Arena in June, Johan Ghazali wasn't able to pick his shots correctly and this cost him the win against Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat.
Though he was still incredibly aggressive and fought with a high-pressure game, he was more calculated on Sept. 6.
Despite facing some adversity in this fight, with Cruz able to land some shots of his own, once Ghazali had him backed up to the fence, he unleashed a combination that stole the show at Ball Arena.
