Joe Rogan admits he was wrong about school installing litter box for girl identifying as 'furry'

Joe Rogan stands corrected by his initial claims that schools were putting out litter boxes for students. In a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience alongside American science writer Michael Shermer, the UFC color commentator addressed the controversial take.

To provide some context, the podcaster shared a story about his friend's wife working at a school that had to install a litter box in the girls' room because one student is a 'furry', who apparently identifies as an animal.

Speaking with former congressman Tulsi Gabbard on an episode of JRE last month, Rogan claimed that the mother of the girl "badgered" the school until they fulfilled her requirements. He made reference to untrue allegations of school concessions and these comments were met with severe backlash from mainstream media.

Joe Rogan revised his stance and addressed the counterblast by recognizing that he narrated the incident without substantial evidence:

“It was a weird one. I fed into that and let me...I should probably clarify that a bit.”

Rogan added:

"People were saying that's not true and it was an internet rumor. So I contacted them again and said, 'Tell me exactly what she said and contact her and find out.' She no longer works for that school, she works for another school. I don't think they actually did it. I think there were discussions about doing it because there was one particularly whacky mother, but it doesn't seem like there's any proof that they put a litter box in there."

Joe Rogan and Michael Shermer discuss trans athletes in sports

The inclusion of transgender athletes in cisgender categories is a hotbed of conflict in the sporting world. The NCAA's recent decision to enable individual governing bodies of specific collegiate sports to decide whether transgender and cisgender women should compete side by side has created an irreconcilable difference amongst the masses.

The transgender divide blew out of proportion in March of this year when Austin-born Lia Thomas, playing for the University of Pennsylvania, won the Division I championship for the first time in the history of the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association).

In a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, the founding publisher of Skeptic magazine, Michael Shermer, called for a confederate and united approach from women to tackle the situation. The illustrious podcaster commented:

"That's an interesting modern example because that is the case when you see someone who's a biological male who competes against biological females and dominates them. When they were a biological male, not doing nearly as well, there's clearly something wrong here. And yet these women are called transphobes and ostracized and some of them are kicked off teams...it's a horrible situation."
