At the end of the day, martial arts is a brotherhood. That unspoken bond is the reason why Nabil Anane sympathizes with a fellow warrior he just beat, Felipe Lobo.
These two bantamweight Muay Thai sluggers exchanged some heat in an action-packed three-round affair at ONE Fight Night 24 in Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium last weekend.
Anane, who utilized his freakish height and length the whole match, was able to outstrike 'Demolition Man' during their fiery exchanges.
Once the dust settled, the Algerian-Thai phenom was able to effectively neutralize Lobo's KO power and took home the well-earned unanimous decision nod.

Despite taking out the no.3 ranked fighter in the division and perennial world title challenger, a gracious Anane expressed his utmost respect for the Brazilian veteran.
The Team Mehdi Zatout affiliate told the media during his post-event interview:
"Yeah, I feel bad for him because he's older than me, but this is the game. You know, everyone wants to win. Nobody wants to lose. We did our best. Sorry, big bro, but I did my best and you did your best. And this is the game, now it brought us [together]. Thank you, Felipe Lobo. And yeah, I'm sorry."
Nabil Anane is truly a talented star in the making who could one day become a force in the stacked 145-pound Muay Thai ranks.
By the looks of it, he also embodies the true spirit of a martial artist, a trait that should serve him well on his way to the top.

Nabil Anane in "no rush" to chase for gold
After extending his winning streak to four, Nabil Anane will likely enter the bantamweight Muay Thai top 5.
In hindsight, most fighters his age would no doubt jump at the opportunity and call for a world title shot.
The insightful 20-year-old, however, is not the type to force things and wants success to come naturally. Anane added:
"I have said this so many times. I have plenty of time. No rush. Whatever comes, me and my bro [Mehdi Zatout] will finish it up."
