Reigning ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion and former bantamweight Muay Thai king 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty of the United Kingdom admits he was a little embarrassed after getting stopped by 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 in less than a minute.
Haggerty met Superlek in the main event of ONE 168: Denver last month, which took place at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. The fight lasted just 49 seconds before 'The Kicking Machine' caught 'The General' with an explosive counter elbow that instantly ended the match.
Speaking to the Sky Sports MMA Club podcast after the fight, Haggerty looked back on the matchup and said he felt he let everyone down.

'The General' stated:
"I was a little bit, I wouldn’t say embarrassed, but disappointed. A little bit embarrassed as well, if I’d say so because it was very early in the round, like 49 seconds. I’m not sure if I should have been embarrassed, but it was one of them things where I felt like I let everyone down at that time, that moment."
Needless to say, the result wasn't what Haggerty envisioned. But the 27-year-old Englishman is in good spirits and wants to get right back on the horse to rebuild his career.
Jonathan Haggerty moves past knockout loss to Superlek Kiatmoo9: "It is what it is"
The great thing about 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty is that he doesn't dwell on his misfortunes.
Despite getting stopped by Thai rival 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver, Haggerty says he has chosen to look forward instead of focus on the past.
'The General' said:
"I was disappointed, gutted for the first I’d say three days. Keep going over scenarios in my head, 'what if I did this, what if I’d done this?' But, it is what it is. That’s what I tell myself, it is what it is, and you’ll be back. I’ve had a lot of support from this fight, which I’m grateful for."
