Nico Carrillo believes he unleashed his best performance yet at ONE Fight Night 23.
Coming off an insane come-from-behind KO of former ONE world champion Nong-O Hama in December, the 'King of the North' delivered another highlight-reel performance against Thai icon Saemapetch Fairtex inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.
There, Carrillo landed his fourth-straight knockout under the ONE Championship banner, putting away Saemapetch just past the two-minute mark of the second round.

Speaking about his performance in a post-fight interview with the South China Morning Post, Carrillo revealed that he felt much better—both physically and emotionally—during his fight with Saemapetch than he did in his last outing against Nong-O.
"Yeah, I was really pleased," Carrillo said. "Coming into this fight, I was really confident. It was one of my better accounts. Like I said, [compared] to the last fight camp, I was in a much better place mentally and physically, and emotionally as well. I felt really at the top of my game."
Nico Carrillo believes his best is yet to come
Making his promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 13 in April 2023, Nico Carrillo immediately earned the attention of fight fans with a second-round knockout of Furkan Karabag. He followed that up with a big finish against 'Elbow Zombie' Muangthai, also in the second round.
In fact, all of Carrillo's finishes inside the Circle have come in the second round.
Despite the incredible success she's achieved, the 25-year-old Scot believes the best is still to come.
"I don't believe I'm in my prime yet," Carrillo told ONE. "I don't think I'll be at my prime until I'm like 27-28. You should still see the best of Nico [to come], and I'm like fine wine."
