Tawanchai PK Saenchai re-established his dominance over the division last weekend when he scored an emphatic second-round technical knockout over Superbon. The two stars locked horns in the main event of ONE 170, and Tawanchai erased all doubt as to who the true king is of the division.
Tawanchai was fast and powerful as he delivered an explosive performance that not only earned him the victory and allowed him to retain the gold, but also won him a cool $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
After the contest, Tawanchai talked to veteran broadcast analyst Mitch 'The Dragon' Chilson in the ring. The 25-year-old said:

"I felt relieved. All of my hard work, I felt like in the last few fights, I might not be 100 percent at training. But this time, I had been training really hard and I feel relieved that the belt is still with me."

He said:
"This is the second time he will be trying to steal the belt from me. It’s very important for me to keep this belt and also very important for me to go over there and steal his belt."
