Sean O'Malley was unable to retain his bantamweight title in his second title defense as he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306. 'Suga' recently claimed he willing to put up $1 million of his own money for a mixed martial arts fight against boxer Devin Haney.
As a result, the former undisputed lightweight champion responded by claiming that he wouldn't fight for that amount.
Speaking on his podcast, TimboSugarShow, the No.1-ranked bantamweight claimed:
"Boxers are f**king p**sies, dude. Devin Haney's a b**ch. He's such a b**ch. Dude, if Devin Haney wants to talk s**t, if he really wants to fight, I'll put a million dollars on me versus him, no time limit, and we can fight. MMA rules, just a fight, or we could do no rules. If you want to f**king eye poke me, you can. Do a real f**king fight."

He continued:
"If you want to talk s**t on Twitter, we can really, actually fight. Or just don't talk s**t. One of the two. Either don't talk s**t or let's actually fight. I would even box. I wouldn't put a million dollars of my own money up, but I would box Devin Haney. Just boxing rules just to protect him. I would simply box him, but he wouldn't simply just fight me. So, don't talk s**t."
Haney responded by claiming that he would not entertain taking a fight for a million dollar payday, while offering O'Malley the opportunity to crossover into boxing:
"I don’t fight for a million dollars like you.. @SugaSeanMMA let’s do a boxing fight & give us a shot at making real money!"

Haney and O'Malley have often traded words on social media. Both fighters are coming off of, arguably, the toughest moments of their respective professional combat sports careers and need a big win to swing public perception back in their favor.
Sean O'Malley responds to Devin Haney, offers free fight
Sean O'Malley was quick to fire back at Devin Haney, claiming that he is willing to take the fight for free. 'Suga' jumped on X to offer to face 'The Dream' for fun, tweeting:
"Let’s just fight for fun then. I don’t need money to fight your dumb a**. You suck."

While the two continue to go back-and-forth, it is unlikely that a bout between the two will come to fruition. UFC CEO Dana White has consistently expressed that he has no interest in crossover fights.
