Superbon seems to have more fun in the small 4-ounce gloves in Muay Thai, where he strives with his powerful hands almost all the way.

The ONE interim featherweight kickboxing king has mostly been using the big gloves throughout his career with ONE Championship, but with the recent foray into the Muay Thai world, he realized that he could do more.

Although Superbon fell short by the smallest margin when battling Tawanchai in a five-round barnburner last year, he says that these smaller gloves are still more enjoyable than the regular boxing gloves.

Ahead of his next main event tilt in featherweight Muay Thai against another brawler in 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut, he told South China Morning Post on his game plan with these smaller gloves.

The striking superstar said:

"You also have to be careful that when you throw your weapons, your opening is not too heavy or else you will be an easier target to hit."

But, he also added:

"So for me, it’s more enjoyable and I have more fun with that."

Jo Nattawut aims for the gold, plans to demolish Superbon

Knowing that time is no longer his friend, Jo Nattawut is planning a quick surge to the top of featherweight Muay Thai division by defeating Superbon at ONE Friday Fights 81 on Sept. 27.

The Thai veteran seems to understand very well about how much time he still has, and he told the promotion earlier this year:

"The world title would mean my work has been successful. I'm at the end of my career. Everywhere I go, I always got the title. So this is another belt to prove that I am really a champion."

ONE Friday Fights 81 will be available via pay-per-view at watch.onefc.com. The promotion's upcoming card inside the 'Mecca of Muay Thai' broadcasts live in Asia primetime on Friday, Sept. 27.
