At ONE on Prime Video 5, Roberto Soldic will make his highly anticipated debut in ONE Championship. The Croatian has become a huge star in Europe and brings a lot of excitement with him into his new promotion.

The devastating striker will face a very dangerous opponent when he steps into the circle for the very first time. As he faces off with the undefeated grappler Murad Ramazanov, Soldic knows that there will be a lot of eyes on him.

The big occasion is nothing new to ‘Robocop’. Soldic left his former promotion KSW as a multi-weight world champion, so having all this attention on his fight is normal for him.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Roberto Soldic spoke about how he is looking forward to not competing in the main event for a change as he steps into a new promotion:

“Good. All is good for me. I'm always in the main event. Always the main event, always when Roberto will fight. Now if I fight [early] then it's good that I go to VIP and then I watch the other fights.”

Soldic added:

“This time, it's going to be different for me and I can enjoy the other fights. But I was always in the main event and then I get sleepy in the locker room. So it's good that I open the card and then finish my fight.”

“I see how happy the fighters are” - Roberto Soldic on choosing ONE Championship as his new home

In one of the biggest stories of the year in MMA, Roberto Soldic sent the fans into a frenzy when he announced that he had signed with ONE Championship. After announcing that he would be leaving KSW, where he was a two-division champion, there was a lot of speculation as to where the Croatian would go.

In an appearance on Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour, ‘Robocop’ announced his decision to join ONE Championship and explained his thought process. Roberto Soldic is on a hunt for more world championships, something he can accomplish with ONE in multiple sports:

“When I finished the KSW contract, I had so many [offers], including UFC, ONE Championship, and I choose ONE Championship for sure because it’s the biggest martial arts [organization] in the world. They give me opportunity to take all the belts -- kickboxing world champion, Muay Thai world champion, MMA world champion, also boxing world champion. I want to create something for my people, my own legacy, so I chose ONE Championship for sure.”

Ahead of his signing, Roberto Soldic also spoke about his first-hand experience with ONE Championship after meeting with CEO Chatri Sityodtong and seeing his relationship with the fighters:

“I went to Singapore and when I saw all atmosphere with Chatri and how he treated the fighters, the relationship, and he gave me the best offer. He said to me, ‘You can be a unique fighter and I will give you all the chances to take different belts from all sports.' So finally, this is the day I took ONE Championship and I see how happy the fighters are, some really good fighters.”
