Johan Ghazali voiced his respect for Johan Estupinan heading into their upcoming fight.
Later this week, ONE 170 showcases several action-packed matchups, including three world title fights. Earlier in the night, the future of the flyweight Muay Thai division will be on display as Ghazali and Estupinan are scheduled to battle.
At 18 years old, Ghazali is widely considered a potential future Muay Thai world champion. Despite being extremely confident, 'Jojo' had this to say about Estupinan during an interview with Nick Atkin:
"Obviously, Estupinan isn’t an easy fight, you know. I knew I had to make changes, especially now in my career. My opponents are getting harder, the fights are getting bigger, so I got to do my best to be the best version of myself, you know. So I had to make a change. I had to move out here to train alongside the best."

Johan Ghazali plans to continue bouncing back from lone promotional defeat
Johan Ghazali started his ONE Championship tenure with five consecutive wins, including four by knockout. In June 2024, the Malaysian-American phenom endured his lone promotional defeat, a unanimous decision against Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat.
Ghazali has since fought once, defeating Josue Cruz by knockout. With a win at ONE 170, the 18-year-old would further regain momentum after suffering the previously mentioned defeat against Nguyen.
Meanwhile, Johan Estupinan looks to secure the biggest win of his promotional tenure. The Colombian 22-year-old holds a ONE record of 4-0, including three knockouts. Estupinan has recently earned added respect for overcoming a step-up in competition against Sean Climaco and Zakaria El Jamari.
Ghazali and Estupinan have a bright future in the ONE flyweight Muay Thai division, regardless of the result later this week. With that said, both fighters want to make a massive statement by adding an impressive name to their resume at ONE 170.
