Towering bantamweight Muay Thai fighter Nabil Anane is not in a rush to vie for the division's championship title, preferring to take it a step at a time to be better prepared when the time to shoot for the belt comes.
The 6-foot-3 Team Mehdi Zatout affiliate shared this after racking up his fourth straight victory at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs Balart on Aug. 2 in Thailand. He defeated former world title challenger Felipe Lobo of Brazil by unanimous decision.
At the post-fight interview session, Nabil Anane, 20, spoke about how he intends to chart his path to a shot at the bantamweight gold moving forward, saying:
"Not now. I got a lot of things to learn, more and more. When I [am ready to] get the belt, I will tell you. But for now, I want to learn more. I want to have more experience, and when I'm ready, I'll be the champion, and I don't want anyone to beat me."

At ONE Fight Night 24, Anane capitalized on his size and length advantage over Lobo, landing consistent solid strikes to the head and body that considerably helped his cause in swaying the judges in his favor for the unanimous decision victory.
The victory was the fourth for the Algerian-Thai fighter in the last 11 months after losing in his ONE Championship debut in June last year to Thai superstar Superlek Kiatmoo9.
Nabil Anane has his sights set on becoming a ONE world champion

"These two titles are just two little steps for me. I need to get more and more, and this isn't enough for me."
Nabil Anane went on to lose his showdown with Superlek but he has since bounced back strong, chalking up four straight victories after. The most recent of his wins was over the No. 3 contender in the division Felipe Lobo on Aug. 2 at ONE Fight Night 24 on Prime Video, further solidifying his standing as an emerging force in the bantamweight Muay Thai class.
