Mark Zuckerberg recently revealed that he would like to train with Alex Pereira after he recovers from his injury.

The META CEO is an avid MMA fan and has been pictured cageside at some of the biggest UFC events over recent years. Due to his love of the sport, Zuckerberg also started training in MMA and has been seen working with the likes of Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski in the gym.

Zuckerberg has also entered and won BJJ tournaments, but whilst preparing for an event last November, he suffered a torn ACL whilst training. He soon underwent surgery to correct the issue, and will require anywhere between 6 and 12 months to recover from the procedure.

Zuckerberg was recently seen both backstage and cageside at the historic UFC 300 card, which saw Alex Pereira defend his light heavyweight title against Jamahal Hill.

'Poatan' finished the night on a high by landing his signature left hook against 'Sweet Dreams' in the first round, dropping him to the canvas. His follow up punches prompted the referee to call an end to the contest.

Following the event, Pereira uploaded a video on his YouTube channel which showed backstage footage both before and after his bout, including a conversation he had with Mark Zuckerberg.

In the clip, the 39-year-old tells Pereira the timeline of his return to training and his hope of training with him. He said:

"I got three and a half months left before my knee is healed [Pereira's translator translates Zuckeberg's comments and adds that he wants to train with him]. Yeah. Awesome. See you out there, good luck!"

Kamaru Usman weighs in on Alex Pereira's heavyweight title aspirations

Kamaru Usman has urged the UFC heavyweight division to be on notice following Alex Pereira's victory at UFC 300.

Following his first round KO win over Jamahal Hill, 'Poatan' teased his interest in a move to heavyweight. In the UFC 300 post-fight press conference, he expressed an interest in competing at heavyweight in the future.

Tom Aspinall was also cageside for the fight, and the interim UFC heavyweight champion was pictured with his eyes fixated on the Brazilian following his main event win.

Speaking on a recent episode of his Pound 4 Pound podcast, the former welterweight champ weighed in on Pereira's goals and warned the heavyweight division about facing 'Poatan' in the future. He said:

"As far as moving up, I think everybody in that middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight division are in trouble when they fight a guy like Alex Pereira."

Usman continued:

"If you don't take the path of least resistance and you let him actually fight in the way that he does have the biggest advantage, I think they're all in trouble."
