First-ranked ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai contender 'King of the North' Nico Carrillo of the United Kingdom knew that in order to be great, he had to fully dedicate himself to his craft.

Which is why many years ago, Carrillo made the important life decision to leave his regular job to pursue Muay Thai full time.

'King of the North' told ONE Championship in a recent interview:

“The reason I quit my job was because I just felt I was destined for more. I believe everything is written already. And for me, I was never meant to be a 9-to-5 guy. I was put here to do something spectacular. I was meant to be my own person and Muay Thai is the epitome of that. Every decision is on me.”

Now, Carrillo is among the very best in the world's largest martial arts organization, and in a few weeks' time, he gets to prove once again that he belongs.

'King of the North' Nico Carrillo is set to lock horns with no.4-ranked Saemapetch Fairtex of Thailand at ONE Fight Night 23 on Prime Video.

The event broadcasts live from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and absolutely free on Amazon Prime Video. The event will air on Friday, July 5th, in U.S. primetime.
