ONE double-world champion Reinier de Ridder isn’t concerned about maintaining his perfect professional record. He’s only concerned about “murking” people.

‘The Dutch Knight’ is putting the ONE light heavyweight world title on the line against ONE interim heavyweight world champion Anatoly Malykhin. The two titans are expected to square off this Friday, December 2, at ONE on Prime Video 5 in front of a massive crowd at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines. North American audiences can catch all the action live and for free with an Amazon Prime Video subscription.

No other athlete at ONE has been able to match de Ridder’s level of expertise, let alone give him any sort of worry. With a clean slate of 16-0 and a 7-fight win streak under the promotion, de Ridder continues to be the most feared middleweight and light heavyweight world champion.

Despite the numbers, he keeps a level head on his shoulders and doesn’t succumb to the pressure of maintaining a perfect MMA record. Speaking to The MMA Superfan, the 32-year-old star said:

“You know, it used to be something in my mind, but now, it's not in my mind at all. It's not something I think about. I just do what I do, and that's murk people left and right, kill them one by one.”

Reinier de Ridder is coming in strong with his third world title defense of the year. He obliterated two dangerous former world champions in Vitaly Bigash at ONE 159 in July and Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE Full Circle back in February.

As mentioned before, Reinier de Ridder will continue to do what he does best by running through another world champion this Friday.

Reinier de Ridder believes Anatoly Malykhin will underestimate his striking abilities

With everyone fixated on Reinier De Ridder’s jiu-jitsu, people seem to forget that he’s a good kickboxer as well. Despite having a few opportunities to really showcase his striking capabilities, ‘The Dutch Kight’ warns MMA fans that he’s not just a one-trick pony.

Using a lot of feints, leg kicks, and jabs come in handy as a way to keep opponents second-guessing. They’re obviously too afraid to get close to him and so using his striking to set up clinches or takedowns is a tactic he loves to play with. He told Morning Kombat:

“The good thing is they want to come in, but they don’t want to come in because when they come in, I take them down and strangle them. My kickboxing and my grappling really go hand-in-hand.”
