Reigning and undisputed ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion 'The Warrior' Christian Lee of the United States was no doubt disheartened by the unfortunate turn of events in his latest world title defense.
Lee's main event contest at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video against unbeaten Turkish star Alibeg Rasulov ended in controversy, after an accidental eyepoke halted matters abruptly in round two.
Lee said he was waiting in the corner as the ringside physician checked Rasulov out, who was later on deemed unable to continue. Secretly, 'The Warrior' said he was hoping that wasn't the case.

The Singaporean-American star told Bangkok Post in a recent post-fight interview:
"Well, it wouldn’t be the first time I got DQ’d. It happened to me before. I was just a little bit confused. I was thinking that the fight was going to continue, of course, but based on how the fight went, and based on his condition at that point of the eye poke, I’m not surprised that he chose to [not continue]."
ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Prime Video was broadcast live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand last Saturday, Dec. 7. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action via replay on-demand with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Christian Lee bares the key to beating Alibeg Rasulov and why he thinks he won: "I was able to shut his wrestling down"
If you asked Christian Lee what he thought of the Alibeg Rasulov result, 'The Warrior' would say he counts this No Contest ruling as an actual victory. In fact, the 26-year old star believes he has soundly defeated the Turkish fighter, despite the unfortunate end to their ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video main event.
He told Bangkok Post about the key to beating Rasulov:
"No, not surprised because I was able to shut his wrestling down by putting the pressure on him and then going for the takedown first."
