The 31-year-old Warsaw, Indiana native is one of the best strawweights in the world, and he is looking to recapture lost gold to prove he's at the top of the mountain.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Brooks says he is laser focused on regaining his position as the king of the strawweights.

'The Monkey God' said:
"I see it as just climbing back up to get to where I need to be, man. That's it. I just need to keep on climbing and he's there and he's resting up at the top of the mountain and that's cool. I'm still going. I don't care if anything pops in my way. There's nothing that's gonna stop me from getting to where I need to go."
Brooks knows he has to win his next fight in order to get a shot at the division's throne. And he won't let anyone get in his way, not even a talented Cuban veteran.
