Alaverdi Ramazanov believes that the key to his next fight is to react in the moment in order to adapt to any scenario.
The former bantamweight kickboxing king is no stranger to competing at the highest level inside the circle. Through his time in ONE Championship, he has learnt how coming into a fight with a game plan is not always the best form of preparation.
Ramazanov returns at ONE Friday Fights 68 on June 28 to once again compete inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. Standing across from him will be former world champion Petchtanong Petchfergus, who has proven himself to be one of the top competitors in his weight class.
When the two men meet in kickboxing, Ramazanov's plan is to read the fight and his opponent before implementing his approach.

He spoke to ONE Championship in a recent interview about how facing elite strikers is a different strategy to a regular fight:
"I don't have a plan for the fight with him. To be honest, I just want to outplay him. I'll see what his style will be like. With guys like him, you won't be able to just impose your own game, but it's interesting to try."
Alaverdi Ramazanov will have his work cut out for him
Alaverdi Ramazanov makes a lot of sense with what he says about the dangers of coming into a fight with a specific game plan against such a skilled opponent.
That being said, adapting mid-fight against a world-class striker is also much easier said than it is done.
Petchtanong has been away from competition for a long time but the last time that ONE Championship fans saw him, he was lifting bantamweight kickboxing gold.
You can be sure that this is exactly what the Thai veteran is looking to do once again now that he is back competing.
ONE Friday Fights 68 will air live in Asian primetime. Check your local listings for more viewing details.
