Despite being one of the most frightening men inside the octagon, UFC light-heavyweight champ Alex Pereira is an absolute goofball outside of it. His trademark mantra, "Chama!", coupled with his stone-faced expression makes Pereira's online antics all the more hilarious.
In his most recent social media post, 'Poatan' was seen attending a cultural event at Embaixada dos Bonecos Gigantes, donning what looked like a huge paper mache costume of a giant man.
Just by looking at the footwork, you don't need to see what's underneath the mascot to know it's Pereira:

Popular MMA personality and content creator Nina-Marie Daniele, who has developed a friendship with Pereira, commented:
"I knew it was you by the Converse shoes 😂🙌"
Meanwhile, MMA journalist Helen Yee simply said:
"😂 Chama 🔥"

When Alex Pereira hit Nina-Marie Daniele with his legendary legkick
Nina-Marie Daniele is increasingly growing among MMA fans for her out-of-left-field humor and willingness to go the extreme route just to entertain her viewers. She's almost the female iteration of the MTV show Jack*ss at this point.
The perfect example of this comparison is when Daniele trained with Alex Pereira and learned his legendary leg kick. Pereira was good at breaking down the technique and teaching the kick to Daniele through his coach/translator Plinio Cruz.
One of the funnier moments of the video was when Daniele misjudged the distance between her and the bag and hurt her foot upon impact. Writhing in pain, Daniele said:
"How do you do this for a living? This sh*t f**king hurts."
The icing on the cake was when the MMA content creator let 'Poatan' leg kick her with "1%" power. Despite looking like he barely put any effort into the kick, the impact was so hard that Daniele was down on the floor crawling as she ended the segment.
