Reigning ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion Alexis Nicolas takes great pride in being the first man to beat Regian Eersel in the world's largest martial arts organization.
Now, 'Barboza' wants to up the ante by also becoming the only fighter to knock out 'The Immortal' in their upcoming rematch at ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs Eersel II on Prime Video.
The Frenchman acknowledges that his crowning moment at ONE Fight Night 21 last April could have been better if he had received a $50,000 performance bonus.
However, he also understands that it takes a decisive finish to score some bonus moolah. Alexis Nicolas will certainly chase that when he runs it back with Eersel on Oct. 4 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Mahmoudi Gym representative said in a Sportskeeda MMA exclusive:
"Last time, Eersel was undefeated for many years, so I was sure that if I win against him, I will get a bonus. But there was no bonus for me. Maybe next time, I have to knock him out to get this."
In hindsight, Nicolas came extremely close to putting the Surinamese star away in the second round when he made him taste the canvas via a violent right hook.
Knowing that Eersel isn't as unbeatable as everyone thinks he is, the champ will no doubt look to end this rivalry once and for all with a statement victory.
Alexis Nicolas responds to Regian Eersel's 'fake champion' claims
Regian Eersel recently shared his reservations about how Alexis Nicolas took away his 26 pounds of gold.
'The Immortal', after all, was on a 10-fight rampage entering that showdown, with multiple title defenses on his belt. As expected, Eersel believes doesn't consider Nicolas the true champion since he never beat him decisively.
'Barboza', however, clapped back and told Sportskeeda MMA:
"He doesn’t get to decide whether I’m a true champion or not. I have the belt, I am the champion. And I have to win again to stay there."
