Tawanchai PK Saenchai knows how tough of an opponent Superbon is, and he vows to come fully prepared against the striking veteran when they cross paths in an all-champion showdown in the main event of ONE 170 on Jan. 24.

The ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion looks to pull a 2-0 lead in their rivalry and spoil Superbon's dream of securing two-sport glory inside the Impact Arena.

Before they run it back in Bangkok, Thailand, Sportskeeda MMA caught up with the defending king to get his thoughts on what surprises him the most about the Superbon Training Camp head honcho.

In response, the PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym star shared:

"He doesn't surprise me because I know how amazing he is."

After all, the ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion did give the 25-year-old talent a run for his money during their five-round thriller at ONE Friday Fights 46 in December 2023.

Though Tawanchai did his part to edge past his foe via majority decision, his 34-year-old compatriot made sure he had to work extra hard for the W inside the Lumpinee Stadium.

Given how exciting and close their first encounter was, fans can expect to be pushed to the edge of their seats again when these striking geniuses renew their rivalry at ONE 170.

Tawanchai's keys to victory over Superbon at ONE 170

If Tawanchai sticks to the same tactics as he did in their prequel come ONE 170, he will likely close another chapter against Superbon with his hand raised.

Before delivering the lightning-quick combinations that took him to the very pinnacle of Muay Thai, the PK Saenchai man must make sure he keeps Superbon's infamous high kicks at bay.

Should he succeed, the 25-year-old can continue loading onto the challenger by mixing things up to find an opening for counter-shots.

Superbon won't be easily fooled by what the kingpin brings to the table, though.

So Tawanchai's dexterity is an absolute necessity in the exchanges from the inside if he wants to score another win over his Thai foe in this main event tilt on January 24.
