Accomplished MMA athlete-turned-Muay Thai rising star John Lineker never shies away from throwing down with any opponent. This unshakeable confidence has him declaring that he can dissect former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon's renowned defense.
Speaking exclusively with ONE Championship, the heavy-handed Brazilian was asked for his thoughts on a potential megafight with the Thai icon. 'Hands of Stone' responded:
"I've never underestimated anyone and it won't be Rodtang that I'm going to underestimate. He's a great athlete, but I know my potential and I know what I can do. So I'm sure I would deliver a great fight for the fans."

Lineker's confidence does not come from nowhere, as the former ONE bantamweight MMA king has made a career out of knocking out his foes — logging six of them in eight wins during his ONE tenure.
While a Muay Thai bout with 'The Iron Man' would surely be a memorable encounter for everyone involved, Lineker must first focus on his bantamweight Muay Thai matchup against Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai at ONE Fight Night 27.
The event will take place at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, Jan. 10.
John Lineker struggling to find holes in Kulabdam's game
John Lineker, known for combining his high fight IQ with his one-shot knockout power, rarely admits to being stumped when preparing for his upcoming opponents.
In a recent interview with ONE, though, the 34-year-old revealed his struggles in scouting Kulabdam:
"It is difficult to identify weak points in an athlete like him, but I am still studying his fights and looking for a weak point where I can neutralize him and impose my game."
ONE Fight Night 27 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
