“I know his style” - Chingiz Allazov is confident he has what it takes to handle Superbon’s Thai style

Belarusian kickboxer Chingiz Allazov has champion Superbon Singha Mawynn read and is dead set to take it to him in their ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship showdown this week.

Chingiz Allazov is attempting to seize the belt from Superbon in their headlining fight at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 in Bangkok.

Chingiz Allazov expressed confidence that he will have no problems beating the reigning kickboxing world champion on fight night, having studied Superbon and being familiar with the style of Thai fighters.

He told SCMP MMA:

“My game plan, go to fight, go to victory, I go to war, you know. Only to war and victory. This is my game plan. But what do you say about the style of Superbon? He has an individual style, he has a Thai style and a more Thai style. He has a universal style. He has punches, striking, his kicks, his punches. He has a universal style. He knows 100 percent Thai style but I know his style and we are ready for his style and I like fighting Thai people, you know. I like this fight with Superbon. For me it’s no problem.”

Chingiz Allazov earned a world title shot after sweeping his way through the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix, which culminated in a unanimous decision victory over Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in the final.

Superbon, for his part, became a world champion in 2021 and is making his second title defense.

Chingiz Allazov says he’s a big problem for Superbon

Chingiz Allazov has sent a warning to reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn that he will be a big problem in their headlining title fight at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13.

Speaking to ONE Championship, the Belarusian fighter said:

“I’m one of the biggest problems for [Superbon]. He knows this. He has good timing, he has a good universal style. I have kicks and power over him. He’s a very good fighter, but maybe he makes a little mistake here and it’s a big problem in his fight with me.”

Chingiz Allazov is packing a lot of momentum heading into the world title showdown, having dominated the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix in impressive fashion en route to earning a world title shot.

Superbon, who has earned recognition from some quarters as the best pound-for-pound kickboxer in the world, for his part, will pick up from his first successful world title defense over Armenian Marat Grigorian last March.

ONE Fight Night 6 happens at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, and is live and free for North American fans with an active Amazon Prime subscription.
