Johan Ghazali could not have asked for better mentors ahead of his crucial matchup at ONE 170.
The Malaysian-American phenom will face off against fellow rising star Johan Estupinan in a flyweight Muay Thai contest at the stacked ONE 170 card on Jan. 24 at Impact Arena.
In preparation for his match against Estupinan, Ghazali set up camp in Bangkok and trained under the guidance of Thai icons Superbon and Nong-O Hama at Superbon Training Camp.
Ghazali reveled at the chance to train with his Muay Thai role models and told ONE Championship about the invaluable knowledge he learned from the two striking superstars.

"I learned so much from them every single day and they guided me in my training and setting up my game plan," said Johan Ghazali.
Superbon is the reigning ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion and is often considered the best kickboxer on the planet.
Nong-O, meanwhile, was the inaugural ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion and was a four-division Lumpinee Stadium world champion before joining ONE Championship.
Ghazali, though, has yet to achieve the rarified air his mentors are in, but he's positioned himself in a prime spot to follow on Superbon and Nong-O's trajectory.
'Jojo' is one of the fastest-rising stars in the combat sports world and owns a stellar 6-1 record in ONE Championship.
Of his six wins in the promotion, five were highlight reel knockouts against Padetsuk Fairtex, Tai Sor Jor Piek Uthai, Temirlan Bekmurzaev, Edgar Tabares, and Josue Cruz.
Johan Ghazali tells of the surreal experience training alongside Superbon and Nong-O
Johan Ghazali wouldn't have imagined that his decision to train at Superbon Training Camp would put him inside the inner circle of the fighters he once idolized.
'Jojo' has his home gym Rentap in Malaysia, but he decided to switch things up and joined Superbon's gym in Bangkok ahead of ONE 170.
That decision didn't just impart Ghazali with invaluable Muay Thai knowledge, he also got to see the intensity Superbon and Nong-O brought to the gym every single day. In an interview with ONE Championship, Ghazali said:
"It's very surreal to train alongside these incredible fighters because I grew up watching them and to say that I'm training alongside them every day now is actually incredible."
