Despite ending 2023 with a loss, Fabricio Andrade is coming into the next year of his career with optimism and confidence.
The ONE bantamweight MMA world champion competed in his first striking contest under the ONE Championship banner last time out at ONE Fight Night 16.
With both men looking to become two-sport world champions, he faced off with Muay Thai titleholder Jonathan Haggerty for the vacant bantamweight kickboxing belt.
Andrade may have come up short in the fight inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, but he learned some valuable lessons from the contest that will only make him better in the future.

As he prepares to return to his division to defend the world championship for the first time, Fabricio Andrade told Sportskeeda MMA that this loss will not define his run in the promotion:
“I have always come back stronger than when I lost. So I truly believe this time would be the same. I would take the time off, and when I come back, I’ll come back better than ever.”
Fabricio Andrade coming back better than ever is a scary thought for the bantamweight division
Up until his clash with Haggerty at the end of last year, Fabricio Andrade has produced an incredible unbeaten run since signing with ONE Championship.
Back in the bantamweight MMA division, Andrade is still the dominant king, and continues to evolve to maintain his position at the top.
‘Wonder Boy’ promising to be back and better than ever is not the kind of news that his fellow bantamweight contenders will want to hear as 2024 gets underway.
