Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion and current first-ranked contender 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States vows to put his best foot forward from this point on in his career.
The 31-year-old Warsaw, Indiana native has been hard at work, brushing up all facets of his game. Brooks says he is now better than he has ever been, and sees no threat in upcoming opponent Gustavo Balart.
Speaking to the South China Morning Post in a recent interview, Brooks said Balart has no chance of beating him, and that he is now fighting for something greater than himself.

'The Monkey God' stated:
"What are you going to do to me? What are you going to do? I'm 31 years old, right? And if I do lose, then I still have a family. I still have, God, I still have the things that are right in front of me, right? But I'll be damned if I let myself get dominated by another man, right? That's not going to happen. I have a family to feed."
Brooks is searching for his fifth win in ONE Championship, and wants to prove once again that he's the best strawweight in the world by beating Balart.
